The spirit of Ubuntu runs deep within South Africans’ hearts no matter where they live.
With this in mind, Khulisa (meaning “to nurture”), a UK registered charity focussed on fighting crime and its causes back home, would like to invite Global South Africans living in London to consider playing a part in their new “mentorship” programme.
It is a flexible, affordable and sustainable way to make a real difference back home by donating just a couple of hours of your time per month. The matching process (mentor and mentee) is done via Khulisa’s online application portal - designed for long distance and cross-cultural engagements with a mentee whose development needs are aligned to the mentor’s skill, experience, interest and/or passion.
Khulisa, in partnership with Brand South Africa and the SA Chamber of Commerce are hosting an intimate event at the SA High Commission in June to introduce the scheme to would-be mentors, to get feedback onits design and to ensure it compliments any similar initiatives. The keynote speaker on the evening will be Salome Fenyane, who spearheads Khulisa’s mentorship movement - a recognized public speaker, inspirational storyteller, author and mentor herself. If interested please RSVP as Khulisa needs the names of all attendees ahead of the event.
Canapés and Refreshments will be served.
Date: Tuesday 14th June
Time: 6.30pm to 9pm
Venue: South African High Commission, Trafalgar Square.
