How many life-saving minutes of intensive care can YOU buy for a critically sick child this Mandela Day?
In ICU every second counts.
On 18 July South Africans will rally together in memory of our late past President Mr Nelson Mandela to donate 67 minutes of their time for a good cause. At the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in South Africa it costs £50 for a child to spend just 67 minutes in the paediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
This Mandela Day, the Children’s Hospital Trust is inviting those who cannot give up their time to help give time to critically ill or injured children in the paediatric ICU at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital. For just £6.70 you can buy a child 10 minutes in ICU.
It costs £500 for a child to spend one night in ICU. How many minutes will you give them?
