The Starfish Greathearts Foundation will be hosting their annual “Care to Taste” Starfish Wine Tasting at Investec in London on 3rd November 2016.
Brand South Africa would like to encourage its Global South Africans in London to support this worth fundraising event, What could be better than tasting your way through 12 different wines of the world and a few generous cheese boards – knowing that your support will make a real difference back home by providing life-saving healthcare via the Starfish “Wellness Wagons” to some of South Africa’s most vulnerable children.
You can even win yourself a magnum of Champagne by taking part in a blind-tasting quiz.
These Wellness Wagon mobile clinics ensure the physical, mental and social wellbeing of children living in rural areas. For as little as £5.50, each child is provided with a ‘top to toe’ check-up, as well as other important services including immunisations, testing for HIV, TB and checking for malnutrition.
The 2015 event was a fantastic success with the 150 guests raising over £7,000. This resulted in over 1,200 children receiving life-saving healthcare. This year Starfish Greathearts Foundation is on a mission to provide over 1,300 children with access to care and better health and wellbeing as a result.
