The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Arts and Culture, promotes the equitable growth of the South African film and video industry by funding film development, production, marketing, distribution, and filmmaker training. The NFVF also conducts research and publishes industry statistics.
The NFVF invites eligible applicants to apply for International Bursaries in Film and Television Post Graduate Studies. These bursaries, capped at R280,000 for the 2025 academic year, support upskilling film and TV professionals for global competitiveness through overseas studies not offered in South Africa.
