It has created a platform that connects South African women owned businesses with foreign capital, as well as promoting South Africa as a gateway for continental tourism travel.

SAWA in partnership with Brand South Africa has in the past few years honored the accomplishments of ordinary people with extraordinary impact. To stimulate and cultivate tomorrow’s trailblazers, SAWA pays tribute and recognizes the accomplishments of living legends during its Annual Gala Dinner and Awards hosted in Atlanta, GA. This year’s honorees are 1.Connie Chiume (Legend Award Recipient)Film maker and Black Panther Actress 2. Byllie Aaron (Impact Award Recipient) -American Television Host 3.Louis Gossett Jr. (Proclamation Award)-American Actor

Special: This event will pay tribute to Archbishop Desmond Tutu during this year’s event.

The gala will feature the Ndlovu Youth Choir who gained world fame when they appeared as finalists on America’s Got Talent in 2019. This event will be hosted by Felicia Mabuza-Suttle, South African businesswoman and Talk-show host; Featured speakers at this year’s gala include Ayanda Dlodlo, Executive Director-World Bank and Former South African Minister of State Security; Reverend Nontombi Naomi Tutu, Film Producer and daughter of Archbishop of Desmond Tutu.
